It be be nice to have a feature to confirm/validate/make more prominent which org you are logged into via DemandTools. This will help to confirm you are making changes in the correct environment.

We do put the users login and current company in the lower status bar.  What other type of information would you recommend to help in ensuring you are on the correct org?

Just looking for a way to make it more prominent. Maybe change status bar color based on which environment you are in?

We could look at putting a Sandbox or Production icon in the status bar.

That would be great. Any way to also change the color of the status bar? How long would it take for this enhancement? Thank you.

Hi Norman,

We will be releasing a new DemandTools within the week that has this feature added!  Here is a "sneak peak":

Hope this works for you and thanks for the suggestion!

Hi,

We just upgraded and the new feature is showing 'production' for both our sandbox and production environments....both are 'green'.

Would it be possible to show the production environment as 'red' and sandbox environment as 'green'?

Thanks, Norman

Hi Norman,

Are you sure the second one is a true Salesforce sandbox and not a dev org?  Salesforce dev orgs are considered "production" orgs by Salesforce.

Thanks, Laurie

Yes, it is a full sandbox.

Hi Norman,

I believe I have reproduced the issue.  In my tests it happens when using the OAuth login to a sandbox that DOES NOT have a custom domain.  If the Sandbox does use a custom domain, then it is flagged appropriately.  Also, when using the API login it is always flagged appropriately.

Can you confirm that you are using the OAuth login "Sandbox Login" option.  I can tell already by your sandbox URL that it does not have a custom domain.

I have created a bug for development to review as well.

Thanks, Laurie

Hi Laurie - yes, we are using the OAuth login 'sandbox login' option. Thanks.
