[Solved] PeopleImport automatically opens on startup, how do I stop that?  



When I turn on my laptop, PeopleImport automatically starts up. How do I stop that from happening?



That might be what mine is doing as well. 


Mine does something similar. PeopleImport doesn't open up but the folder with the executable does every time i reboot. I don't know how I made it happen or how to make it stop!


There appears to be something in our install script that is doing that.  When the program is installed it is creating a folder in the following filepath: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp, called "PeopleImport 64bit".  The folder just contains a shortcut to the app (not the actual executable).

I am able to reproduce the issue and will be reviewing with development.  It is ONLY an issue with the 64bit version (not the 32bit version).

To NOT have the folder open every time you start/restart your PC simply delete that folder in the StartUp folder noted above.  Of course if you ever need to resintall or upgrade it will be added again until we resolve the issue.

We have updated our install code to NOT create the folder any longer.  A new version of PeopleImport was just uploaded today with the change.  It can be downloaded here.

You will still need to manually delete the folder that was created in the Startup folder:

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp\PeopleImport 64bit

But it will not come back when you install the new version.
